( Goal Scorer: Henry Shindika 70', Betram Mwombeki 90')

Second half substitutes, Henry Joseph and Betram Mwombeki inspired Simba to a 2-0 Vodacom Premiership victory over Mtibwa Sugar at the National Stadium on Saturday everning. The victory pushes the Msimbazi street giants to second behind this season surprise league leaders, JKT Ruvu.

Simba showed early intention of revenging last season double defeats by attacking the Turiani based side from the first whistle. Constant attacks from Simba forced Mtibwa Sugar to resort to aggressive tactical fouls to reduce the flow of attacks in their danger zone. Burundian import, Amissi Tambwe was the victim as Mtibwa Sugar tried to to stop Simba constant forward surging.

However despite Simba constant attacks, Mtibwa Sugar had the first clear cut chance of the match that was not utilized by Vincent Barnabbas in the 10th minute.

Midway through the first half, the physical battles came to the forefront and Mtibwa's Masoud Mohamed pulled off a challenge on  Jonas Mkude that saw him become the first player booked

After the restart, Mtibwa Sugar coach, Mecky Mexime introduced former Simba striker, Mussa Hassan Mgosi for the fading Juma Luizio. Ten minute after the restart, Abdallah Kibadeni, Simba coach, followed suit by substituting Said Hamis for former captain, Henry Joseph who was making his league debut after his move from Norway side, Kongsvinger.

The substitution paid dividend for Simba as it was Henry Joseph who broke the deadlock in the 68th minute, by heading home Amri Kiemba's low cross.

Despite a spirited performance from Mtibwa that saw Shaban Kisiga come close to equalizing it was Simba who extend the lead in the dying minutes of the match to put the game beyond reach. It  was another second half introduction, Betram Mwombeki who nodded home after good work from Ramadhan Singano.
