Match 5- Sat, September,2013
National Stadium,Dar.16:00 EAT
After Wednesday's 6-0 annihilation of Mgambo Shooting Msimbazi Reds will be looking forward to their fourth consecutive win as they host newly promoted Mbeya City in the Vodacom Premiership at the Nation Stadium this afternoon.
Simba are at the summit of the Vodacom Premiership log after dislodging JKT Ruvu who lost to Ruvu Shooting. With no injuries concern to key players, coach Abdallah Kibadeni will have a full house to select from. The side has only conceded two goals and scored ten in the process. The defensive partnership of Joseph Owino and Gilbert Kaze has effectively shielded Abel Dhaira. The partnership is yet to soak in a goal, emerging as the best defensive pairing in the league so far. Kibadeni is not expected to tinker with it.
The midfield department seems to be a hot zone for competition, only Jonas Mkude,Haroun Chanongo and Amri Kiemba seems to be assured of a starting place. The capture of Henry Joseph and Abdulhalim Humud means Simba have plenty of midfield to rely on. Kibadeni has tinkered with his midfield in all matches.
In the attacking department, the partnership of Betram Mwombeki and Burundian striker-on-fire, Amissi Tambwe is getting sharper and hungry for goals each match. The Burundian import became the first player to score a hat-trick after two years without one, he scored four goals in the 6-0 routing of Mgambo Shooting.
Simba's next three opponents are army sides, JKT Ruvu and Ruvu Shooting (Both away, but played in Dar) and Tanzania Prisons (Home).
Mbeya City are yet to lose a match and will depend on the backing of the huge Mbeya 'diaspora' to cheer them to victory or another draw. Coach Juma Mwambusi knows a draw will be a credible result but given Simba's hot form he will have to set up his side very carefully.
The councillors' next three opponents are Coastal Union (Home), JKT Oljoro and Rhino Rangers (Both away).
Simba's Line up in their 6-0 win over Mgambo Shooting: Abel Dhaira, Miraj Adam(William Lucian), Issa Rashid, Kaze Gilbert, Joseph Owino, Jonas Mkude, Amri Kiemba, Henry Joseph(Ramadhani Chombo) , Betram Mombeki, Amisi Tambwe, Haroun Chanongo.
