Simba Seeking Revenge against Mtibwa Sugar

MTIBWA SUGAR
SIMBA

  Match 3-Saturday, 14 Sept
  National Stadium, Dar
   1600hrs EAT

Simba will be targeting their second successive win in Vodacom premiership when they host Mtibwa Sugar this weekend at the National Stadium. They will be seeking revenge for last season double loss to the Sugar cane processors from Turiani.

This will be their first home match of the season having played in Tabora and Arusha in the first two rounds of the league. They claimed their first win of the season in their previous away outing, defeating JKT Oljoro 1-0 in Arusha thanks to a lone strike from Haroun Chanongo in the 34th minute of the match.

Simba have warmed up to the tie with two friendlies against Zanzibar Defending League Champions, KMKM and division one side, Lipuli. All their key players are available for selection including recent signing, former captain, Henry Joseph Shindika.

Simba next three fixtures: Mgambo JKT and Mbeya City (Both home), JKT Ruvu (Away)

Mtibwa will also be targeting their second successive win after downing fellow sugar cane processor, Kagera Sugar a fortnight ago. Under their long time club lietenants, Coach Mexime and Zuberi Katwila, they will be seeking to extend their good run against the Msimbazi street giants.

Mtibwa Sugar next three fixtures: Mbeya City (Home), Tanzania Prison and Ashanti United (Both Away).

Head-to-Head Stats: Simba have won four of their last league encounters but have lost the last two matches. Mtibwa have not conceded a goal in their last two meeting.

Simba's line in the previous Match: Abel Dhaira, Nassor Chollo, Issa Rashid, Gilbert Kaze, Joseph Owino, Jonas Mkude, Amri Kiemba, Abdulhalim Humud, Amis Tambwe, Betram Mwombeki, Haroun Chanongo

Key Players: Amisi Tambwe and Betram Mwombeki (Simba). Simba will depend on the two strikers while Mtibwa will rely on the excellent services of Shaban Kisiga and Juma Luizio who could also be partner with another former Simba striker, Hassan Mgosi.
