Match Preview: Azam, Yanga to Renew Rivalry amid Struggle

Azam and Yanga will renew their rivalry in the Vodacom Premier league when they meet at the National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Azam have only won once after four rounds of matches. They have drawn their last two games. They have kept a single clean sheet while having to come from behind in two matches, against Mtibwa Sugar and Ashanti United. They have allowed one opponent, Ashanti United to equalize, letting go of three points in the last ten minutes of the match.

The return of John Bocco, Brian Umony and Humphrey Mieno from injuries will boost their squad.The trio have not featured in the league this season. Reliable defender,Aggrey Morris will be serving his suspension after being sent off against Ashanti United. 

The Chamazi side next three fixtures will see them take on Prisons and Coastal Union (Both Home) and Mgambo JKT (Away).

Yanga have  drawn their last three matches to frustrate their fans who have been turning out in large numbers in all matches. The 5-1 victory against Ashanti United in round one remain their only win of the season.

Ernie Brandts is having no injuries concern but he is expected to field an unchanged side on Sunday. Tegete is expected to start again ahead of the misfiring Bahanuzi while Hamisi Kiiza whereabouts remain a mystery to date.

Yanga's next three opponents are Ruvu Shooting and Mtibwa Sugar (Both Home) and Kagera Sugar (Away).
