Confident Yanga Aiming For A Second Win against Tanzania Prisons

TANZANIA PRISONS
YANGA

Match 4-Wed Sept 18, 16:00
Sokoine Memorial Stadium

Tanzania Prisons will be targeting a first Vodacom Premiership win of the season  when they host defending Champions, Yanga at the Sokoine memorial stadium in Mbeya.

Tanzania Prisons are placed second from the bottom having lost their first two matches and drawn once. The police side have recently lost their competitive edge that saw them swimming in the relegation zone for much of last season despite avoiding the drop.

Their unimpressive form has seen them lose the local support that has shifted to newly promoted Mbeya City who held Yanga to a 1-1 draw last weekend in front of a record crowd. Their coach Jummane Charles assisted by Oswald Morris know he must soon start getting results to avoid fighting another relegation battle.

Their next three opponents are Mtibwa Sugar and Azam (Both Home ) and Mgambo Shooting (Away).

Yanga who have drawn their last two matches will go into this tie knowing they have to win to stay in touch with league leaders, JKT Ruvu and arch-rivals Simba. They will be looking to put behind the recent crowd troubles that have marked their last two matches.

The return of  influential midfielder, Haruna Niyonzima will spark up their engine box that seemed to falter last weekend. Said Bahanuzi may also give way for Jerson Tegete who gave an impressive performance after his second half introduction.

Yanga next three opponents are Azam( Away), Ruvu Shooting and Mtibwa Sugar (Both home)

Head-to-head Stat: A brace from Jerson Tegete and a goal from Mbuyu Twite gave Yanga a comfortable 3-1 victory over the police side. Their first match ended in a barren draw at Sokoine stadium.

Yanga's line upin their 1-1 draw with Mbeya City:Ally Mustapha, Mbuyu Twite, David Luhende, Nadir Haroub, Kevin Yondan, Athumani Iddi, Nizar Khalfan(Jerson Tegete 59'), Frank Domayo, Didier Kavumbagu, Hussein Javu,Said Bahanuzi(Oscar Joshua 59').
